The staff of PBSI works very hard to find positions for candidates as quickly as possible. Keep in mind, the more flexible and available you are, the quicker you will be working.
How and when do I get paid?
PBSI is your employer, so we issue your paychecks. We have an efficient payroll procedure that you will need to follow to ensure you receive your paycheck. Checks are issued on Friday of each week. Your pay options are Direct Deposit or Cash Pay. Please see a PBSI representative for more information.
What do I do if I can't go to work?
You need to make two phone calls - one to PBSI and one to you supervisor at the client site. It is very important that PBSI be aware of your time off. If a client ever has any issue with your attendance, we need to have a record of your absenteeism.
What do I do if the client wants to take me perm?
PBSI has a very high number of our associates taken perm by our clients. If a client approaches you about a permanent position in their organization, the first thing you should do is contact PBSI. The client does not always remember to contact us, and we have paperwork for them to fill out. We also ask that you send a letter of resignation for your file.
How do I end my assignment?
If you need to end your assignment
for any reason, PBSI requires a two week notice. Please call us as soon
as possible and also send a letter of resignation for your file.
What if the client ends my assignment?
An assignment can end for any number of reasons. Usually, the client will get in touch with us and we would let you know, however, sometimes the client will tell you directly. If the client notifies you, please call PBSI and let us know. Again, the client does not always remember.
What do I do if I don't like my assignment?
The important thing to remember is that you need to give it a chance. We feel an accurate decision cannot be made during the first two weeks of an assignment. Most clients will gradually increase your responsibilities over time as their confidence in your commitment grows. However, please keep in touch with PBSI with any issues you may be having; there is a lot we can usually do to help.
If you are not happier with an assignment after some time has gone by, PBSI will look for a new position for you. We would ask that you give a two week notice to the client that you are working for before we would begin a new search. PBSI can not make a guarantee that there will be no lapse in time between assignments.
